When we understand our inner world more deeply, we uncover the strength and resilience needed to truly grow and transform.

Professional Background

I began my career in 1992 as a social worker in the South Bronx supporting 12 adolescent boys living in a group home. This role deeply shaped the way I practice today. Supporting young people in the face of systemic and personal challenges taught me the importance of trust, respect, and truly seeing each client in the context of their life circumstances.

After completing a Master degree in Social Work at New York University in 1997, I went on to work with a wide range of populations throughout New York City. I also completed postgraduate training at the New York Institute for Psychoanalytic Self Psychology. This training emphasizes empathy, deep listening, and the healing power of being fully understood within a therapeutic relationship. My training gave me a framework for helping clients strengthen an understanding of themselves and develop healthier, more fulfilling ways of relating to others. It continues to guide my work today, allowing me to meet clients with both insight and compassion.

For over 20 years, I’ve maintained a private practice working with adults - first in downtown Manhattan and, since 2020, exclusively through virtual online sessions. The shift to virtual sessions has allowed me to continue offering meaningful, collaborative work with clients in a flexible and accessible way.

Personal Interests

Outside of my professional life, I find joy in the natural world. Most of my time is now in the Hudson Valley, with regular visits to NYC.  I love tending to my gardens, exploring hiking trails, and caring for my horse and cats each day - rituals that keep me connected to rhythm and balance. Family life is also central to who I am, and I bring the same values of patience, curiosity, and care from my personal world into my work with clients.

Fees, Insurances and Contact

Please reach out to learn how we can begin working together. I provide online therapy throughout New York State and Florida. My fee is $175. I am an in-network provider for Optum and Anthem. I also accept out-of-network coverage from Cigna, Aetna, and Carelon. Please let me know if you have another insurance you would like to use. I can help you better understand your coverage as you begin treatment.  While our meetings together will be online, I can make arrangements to meet in person on occasion throughout our work.

A First Step Toward Change

Reaching out for therapy often comes at a time when life feels heavy - whether from stress, anxiety, relationship struggles, or simply a sense that something isn’t working. You may be longing for relief, clarity, or a space where you don’t have to carry everything on your own.

Together, we’ll explore what matters most to you, identify patterns that may be holding you back, and discover new ways of moving forward with greater resilience and self-understanding.

Taking the first step isn’t easy, but it can open the door to lasting change. If you’re considering therapy, I invite you to reach out and see what might be possible!
